Eco-friendly materials we source.

Bamboo Fibre.

Bamboo is a fast-growing plant with timber specs. It grows to maturity in 5 years versus 30 – 120 years for timbers. After a bamboo plant is harvested, four to seven new plants will grow from its roots. No replanting necessary, just like that, made possible by nature. Bamboo is known for its hard surface, making it a robust and long-lasting material. Despite its hardness, it is very suitable to craft.

Glass.

Glass is sustainable and composed of only natural resources. From abundant natural raw materials, such as sand. Glass is fully recyclable too.
Metal – Copper vessels were used in ancient India to kill bacteria. Science confirms the health benefits of copper. The shape, design, and material of a copper bottle play a role in its health benefits. When we store water in a copper vessel for at least 8 hours, the copper ions dissolve in that water in small amounts. Termed as the Oligodynamic Effect, this water now has the potency to destroy harmful microbes, fungi, bacteria.

Recycled Coffee Grounds.

This has a real WOW factor. Eco-friendly travel cups made from coffee grounds and sugarcane. The cup even smells like coffee, which adds to the sensory experience. The Coffee Based material is a mixture of used coffee grounds and sugar cane ethanol. The used coffee grounds are a waste stream from the coffee industry or office environments.

RPET.

(Also known as Polyethylene terephthalate) plastic, RPET is an abbreviation of Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate or PET. It is a type of plastic resin as well as a form of polyester. It can be fully recycled, in which case it becomes recycled polyethylene terephthalate, or RPET. RPET material can be certified by a GRS certification.

Cork.

Cork is the bark of the self-regenerating cork oak tree. It is ranked among the most durable organic materials with the property of stabilising the air temperature and humidity. It is a very flexible material and has good adhesive properties, making it easy to use in combination with different materials. In general, the cork industry is regarded as one of the most environmentally friendly. Cork is 100% natural and biodegradable.

Corn PLA.

Many of our products are made of a bioplastic called PLA, which is an abbreviation for Poly Lactic Acid. This material is usually made from  sugars and starch from corn or beet. Lactic acid is extracted from this, after which it is processed into a granulate. The products are characterised by their strength and transparency, as well as being 100% compostable and food safe. Because PLA is not heat resistant, it is only suitable for cold drinks and food. The production of PLA is very sustainable because the CO2 emissions are about 75% less than in the production of oil plastics. It is also certified compostable according to EN-13432 and will compost within 90 days in an industrial plant.
